Resumes in 2021 and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that for job seekers it has become more competitive searching for a job these days. Equally, it has been more complicated by the introduction of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Now, add the 2020 Pandemic and it can be enough to cause one to pull their hair out.

However, there is some solace! Enter CGL Recruiting – https://cglrecruiting.com/ – and their recent YouTube video “Resume format 2021 – Updated With The Latest Research!” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wymaoAK5UU.

In this video, their owner lays out some of the results from a survey they conducted with a set of Recruiters about EXACTLY what they are looking for in a resume – the sections, type of verbiage, links, … Chronological or Functional/Thematic… PDF or Word… paper or plastic. LOL! You get the idea.

She walks through the template STEP BY STEP…. (THANK YOU) … providing reasons to include or not to include elements. They even talk about margins.

If you want a copy of that template for free to use, you can complete their form using this link – https://forms.gle/XvTn6uzMqEYYneBf8.

No, I get NO money or royalties from any of this. I just want to help those who have challenges like me trying to redo the resume in the “new” format.

I recommend connecting with them on the socials
